The Federal Court has made its ruling in the historic robocall election fraud case. The Council of Canadians has been supporting eight Canadian voters in their legal challenges around voter suppression in the last federal election.
The decision in the robocalls case says it all: “there was an orchestrated effort to suppress votes during the 2011 election campaign by a person or persons with access to the [Conservative Party’s] CIMS database.”

Members of the Hinton Chapter will continue their summer outreach with a table at the Robson Valley Music Festival in Dunster, B.C. on August 17, 18, 19.
There will be a Council of Canadians table in the volunteer tent with information and materials about the Council’s campaigns and activities, so if you’re at the festival please stop by the table and visit and learn how you can be a part of Canada’s largest grassroots citizen advocacy organization!
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit the Hinton Chapter at its kick-off event during last weekend’s Wild Mountain Music Festival. Members of the Hinton Chapter gave out free, clean, public drinking water over the whole weekend to provide festival-goers with an alternative to purchasing bottled water.
Our information table also provided information — and many insightful discussions were had with festival-goers — about the Council’s campaigns on the human right to clean drinking water, healthcare, water, trade, and energy.
Congratulations to the organizers on a fantastic event! The sun was shining, the music blaring and we were there!
